Spinal Decompression Success – Teri C.

I had always considered myself a physically strong person. Sure, I had aches and pains but I just assumed that was part of the aging process. My neck was usually the culprit. I’d take Ibuprofen or if the pain was particularly bad, I’d go to my medical doctor and get a prescription for an anti-inflammatory drug. I sought out alternative care and found relief through chiropractic adjustments, but it was temporary. Then in the summer of 2006, I sustained an injury that left me unable to get out of bed, much less walk. I could not work, drive a manual transmission or even put on my own socks. My pain scale was 9 out of 10. An MRI revealed a herniated disc at L4-5 level of my spine. My MD suggested steroid injections. I knew that these injections, if successful, would just mask the symptoms and not cure the problem.

I was so fortunate to work with a nurse in PierceCounty who told me about the Spinal Decompression and Pettibon System and her satisfaction with the results. In fact, several nurse co-workers in the O.R. had testified to the same positive results. It was then I realized I had choices. My journey ultimately led me to Dr Greenlee here in Olympia. Within two weeks of beginning the Spinal Decompression therapy, my pain score went down to a 2-3 out of 10.

One of the most exciting things that has happened is that chronic, nagging neck pain is almost completely resolved. That was an unexpected bonus. I have realized that growing older does not mean we are all doomed to suffer musculoskeletal aches and pain. I now enjoy walks with my girl friends around Capital Lake, up the hill to the Capital campus and down the switchback trail. It is one of my favorite things to do. I look forward to growing older, wiser, and sassier…pain free.

If I could give any advice to those of you who may be suffering from back pain, it would be to educate yourself as to alternative options. The Spinal Decompression and Pettibon System works. Get on the Internet and read up on the technology. It just made logical sense to me. You need to make the commitment, believe you are worth it and do your home exercises consistently. I wish you the same great results that I have enjoyed.

Sincerely,

Teri Clouse, R.N.
