Treat the Cause of Your Back and Neck
Pain and Rejuvenate your Spine With
Spinal Decompression Therapy.

Our spinal decompression system is truly state of the art equipment that delivers spinal decompression in a safe, comfortable manner.  Spinal decompression therapy can be used to treat disc bulge and herniation, disc degeneration, sciatica, spinal stenosis, arthritis, facet syndrome, and chronic pain in the low back or neck.

Spinal decompression is FDA cleared, non-surgical, and has been shown to do the following:

Dr. Dan Greenlee giving spinal decompression treatment on the DRX9000Spinal decompression is a great option because back surgery is so risky.  Take a look at these statistics:

  • 60% of all people who have back surgery are repeat candidates after only 2 years.
  • The success rate for a second back surgery is only 40%
  • If you require a third back surgery, there is only a 5% chance you will get relief.

Since 2005, we have successfully helped many patients using spinal decompression equipment like the DRX 9000 and Saunders 3D Active Trac.  Our spinal decompression program, however, goes far beyond the equipment we use.

We have studied (and continue to train) with some of the foremost experts on spinal decompression treatment in the country.  Moreover, we incorporate advanced spinal rehabilitation procedures which enhances the results of spinal decompression (To learn about NSI, a comprehensive approach to restoring health and function, click here.)

How does Spinal Decompression Therapy work?

Spinal decompression therapy (SDT) is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment which reduces the pressure inside the lumbar or cervical spinal discs.  A therapist will gently help you lie down on the table.  You can lie on your back or stomach - whatever position is comfortable for you.

Treatment on the Saunders 3-D Active TracAfter you are put in a comfortable position a soft brace is placed around your low back and upper back. It's like wearing a comfortable corset. (It is safe for women who have had breast surgeries.) The spine and muscles are slowly stretched and this takes the pressure off of the sciatic nerve and discs of the low back or neck.   The stretching provided by the table is actually a gentle opening and closing of the disc space of a specific area of the spine (as determined by the doctor).

When the table opens, it creates a vacuum inside the disc.  This is the decompression part.  You can think of disc herniation to a jelly doughnut with the jelly shooting out of the side.  The vacuum inside the disc created by the decompression table can cause the jelly to be sucked back into the doughnut / disc. This takes the pressure off the aggravated nerves, relieving pain and helping your body to feel and function normally again.

During decompression, more oxygen and nutrients are pulled inside the disc.  Studies show that during decompression, more protein synthesis inside the disc.  This means more disc repair and healing is happening.
